Is this time about “staying home” or “going home”?
Now we are forced to stay at home it is a good time to go home into our hearts.
Before writing this blog, I came across this:
“The purpose of life is to be restored back to Love, moment to moment. To fulfil this purpose, the individual must acknowledge that he is 100 per cent responsible for creating his life the way it is. He must come to see that it is his thoughts that create his life the way it is moment to moment. The problems are not people, places, and situations but rather the thoughts of them. He must come to appreciate that there is no such thing as “out there.”

And how true this is – “there is no such thing as out there.”
Unfortunately, we did lose our way and we looked outside of ourselves to the external world and material things to soothe what was aching inside of us.
I am wondering if this time is about “staying at home” or “going home” back into your heart.
Now is the perfect time for reflection, to see what “EMOTIONS” we have been avoiding all these years.
What was crying out for attention that we ran away from with our “busyness”?
Is it your inner child wanting to heal? She does not need another holiday or a new wardrobe, she just wants your attention. She wants you to sit and listen. Maybe she never had a voice as a child and now she just wants to talk. There is nothing to fear. Ask her how she is and what it is she wants to tell you.
Is there deep hurt or sadness that just wants to be acknowledged? If so, it does not matter how many cocktails or diamonds you throw at that sadness and hurt, it will not make it go away. Yeah, sure it might help for a minute, an hour or maybe even for a day BUT it will not replace the emotions you are uncomfortable with.
It’s now time to go inwards. This is a time for feeling and healing. I hear you asking but “how”?
All you have to do is to sit with yourself. Sit for 20 mins a day for 21 days. Grab a chair or a cushion on the floor and be still. You can start by saying. Okay. I am here. I am now ready to listen. Show me what I need to feel.
Sit and wait. No commentary. What needs to come will come. It may take 5 mins or 15 mins but you will feel. One day it might be sadness that comes to the surface. The next it may be anger. You will cry, maybe for a minute or for 5 minutes BUT you will be okay afterwards. It is just emotions coming up to the surface to be released out of the body at cellular level. You can then journal afterwards, download what your experience was and acknowledge the emotions. In doing so, you are releasing them. Remember, you are your own best healer!
Emotions are just energy. We humans are energy. Everything is energy. So, does it make any sense for us to run from emotions? No. In fact, despite what you may think, it is the easier option to face them, feel them and let them go. By running from them and not feeling, we are carrying the weight of them.
It’s hard work.
It is my opinion that burying emotions over a long period of time can cause physical illness.
So how will you know if you are outside of yourself?
If you are totally honest with yourself you will know and you will be able to answer that question in a split second!
If you are unsure, here are some clues.
Do you find yourself TO’ing and FROM’ing a lot?
What I mean by that is – TO’ing moving towards the next best thing – when I have X I will be happy then…
Alternativity, if you are FROM’ing a lot – moving away from feelings and running from emotions with busyness, shiny objects or possibly using substances to numb the mind and feelings.
If this is you, just remember now is the time to go inwards. You might even be surprised at how much easier life will become.
Happiness is an inside job.
Go inside for the Planets sake and your Own sake.
